These Guardian Paid Account Terms apply when an adult parent or legal guardian purchases an individual paid Zorentia plan for a user aged 13-17.
They operate together with the Zorentia Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Your role
By completing the guardian purchase, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are the user's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have lawful authority to approve and pay for the purchase;
- you are entering into the paid purchase contract with Zorentia; and
- you have reviewed these Guardian Paid Account Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Zorentia records your email, the applicable terms version, your confirmations, the acceptance time and purchase/payment references as evidence of the transaction.
2. The young person's account
The Zorentia account belongs to the young person as the user of the Service. Your purchase authorises the paid plan; it does not automatically give you access to the young person's private project workspace, prompts or generated files.
Where access to a young person's information is requested, Zorentia will handle the request according to applicable law, appropriate identity/authority checks and the Privacy Policy.
3. Payment and renewal
You authorise the applicable payment for the plan shown at checkout. If the plan renews automatically, the renewal terms, price and billing period displayed at checkout apply until cancelled.
You are responsible for keeping the payment arrangement current.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel the recurring paid plan using available billing controls. Unless the checkout terms state otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, Zorentia does not provide change-of-mind or pro-rata refunds for an elapsed or partly elapsed billing period.
Nothing in these terms limits a remedy or refund available under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot be excluded.
5. Credits and use
Credits or usage allowances included with the plan are service units, not money. Their reset, expiry and top-up treatment is shown in the applicable plan or checkout information.
The young person remains responsible for following the Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy while using the Service.
6. Privacy
Zorentia uses the guardian information collected through this flow for purposes including:
- verifying the adult purchase arrangement;
- processing and administering the purchase;
- maintaining contractual evidence;
- responding to payment or account enquiries; and
- complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
The Privacy Policy explains retention and service providers in more detail.
7. Ending the arrangement
If the paid plan ends, the young person's underlying account may continue as a free account if Zorentia offers one and the user remains eligible. Ending payment does not automatically delete the user's account or project data.
Account deletion is handled separately under the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Guardian Paid Account Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
10. Contact
Questions about a guardian purchase can be sent through Zorentia's Contact page. Privacy enquiries should use the Privacy / data contact option.
