Last updated: 5 September 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Zorentia Terms of Use and applies to all users of the Service.

1. Use Zorentia lawfully and safely

You must not use Zorentia to create, upload, publish, send, store or distribute material, or perform activity, that:

  • is unlawful or facilitates unlawful conduct;
  • infringes intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
  • harasses, threatens, exploits, sexually exploits, intimidates or seriously harms another person;
  • contains child sexual abuse material or seeks to sexualise or exploit a minor;
  • intentionally distributes malware, ransomware, credential theft or other malicious code;
  • attempts unauthorised access to accounts, systems or networks;
  • is designed to evade security, billing, access controls or usage limits; or
  • materially interferes with another person's use of the Service.

2. Personal information and secrets

Do not submit more personal information than is reasonably necessary for your project.

Do not intentionally put the following into public project pages or anonymous public-feedback forms:

  • passwords, API keys or private keys;
  • government identifiers;
  • private addresses or phone numbers;
  • highly sensitive health, biometric, financial or identity information; or
  • another person's private or confidential information without authority.

If you use the security scanner, do not intentionally expose real production secrets merely to test the scanner. Use safe test values where possible.

3. Public project pages

You are responsible for the content you deliberately publish.

Do not use a public project page to:

  • identify or shame another person;
  • publish private school, workplace or client information;
  • impersonate another person or organisation;
  • misrepresent sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation; or
  • publish content that you do not have the right to make public.

Zorentia may unpublish or remove content where reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, security, legal compliance or abuse prevention.

4. Public feedback

Do not try to defeat the anonymous-feedback design by asking respondents to provide names, emails, phone numbers, social handles, addresses or other contact details through public feedback.

Do not use free-text questions as a disguised lead-generation or contact-collection form.

5. Research invitations

You may send research invitations only to recipients who have agreed to be contacted for that research.

You must not:

  • use bought, scraped, harvested or unrelated mailing lists;
  • use the feature for unsolicited marketing or mass promotion;
  • repeatedly contact a person who has opted out;
  • hide or misrepresent who is requesting the research; or
  • use Zorentia to avoid obligations under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or other electronic-messaging law.

6. Security and platform integrity

Unless Zorentia has expressly authorised security testing, you must not:

  • probe or exploit Zorentia infrastructure;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, CSRF protection, rate limits or payment controls;
  • access another user's data without permission;
  • interfere with queues, APIs, databases or network infrastructure; or
  • use automated traffic in a way that materially degrades the Service.

Good-faith security reports should be sent through the Contact page.

7. Enforcement

Zorentia may take proportionate steps to address a breach, including warning the user, removing public content, restricting a feature, suspending access or terminating access for serious or repeated violations.

Where practicable, Zorentia will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for serious safety, security or legal concerns.
