Field Notes

Short notes from the field about what builders ask for and how the product evolves.

December 2025

The Observation: A website visitor reached out and asked: "Who is behind this? Who owns this? I want to know them." (Dec 20)

The Reality: We were so focused on the shipping infrastructure that we forgot to introduce the ship’s architects. We did not have a team page or a founder story.

The Evolution: We added the Founder Story page. We want people to see the faces and the philosophy driving Zorentia. (Jan 5)

January 2026

The Observation: During on-campus outreach, a CS student asked: "Are you basically just AI building it for me using ChatGPT? If it is, I am not really keen to try." (Jan 10)

The Reality: Our initial phrasing—"We show you how to build your app"—sounded like the generic "magic" AI buttons that engineers (rightfully) distrust. We realized we needed to be louder about the fact that Zorentia is about legibility and agency, not just generation.

The Evolution: We overhauled the website copy to emphasize that the student is the architect. We provide the executable sequence and the engineering artifacts, but you do the building. You remain in control of the code. (Jan 15)
